To date, the use of straw and hemp in construction has been limited to one off bespoke designs and to those dedicated enough to acquire the skills and knowledge to build their own properties.

To the commercial construction industry, straw and hemp is not taken seriously as it should be and for many is seen as quaint - more little house on the prairie than mainstream construction.

Our concept was to to take a perceived, deep green and hairy technology and combine it with modern methods of construction (MMC). By combining the best from both worlds we have developed a sustainable, carbon neutral cladding system.
